HAZLETON - On Thursday night, shortly before 9:30, the Hazleton City Police Department Patrol Division responded to 766 Lincoln Street to a report of an animal abuse call to canines at the residence, according to a press release .
Assisted by the Narcotics Division evidence of narcotics trafficking was discovered at which time over 2 and three quarter pounds of marijuana, over $2300.00, a large amount of packaging materials, and an H and R 12 guage semi automatic shotgun were seized.
Also deplorable conditions were discovered due to canine feces and urine at which time two small children were also removed from the residence.
Sonia Torres, 25, of Hazleton was charged was one count on endangering the welfare of children
Eudomar Concepcion, 20, of Hazleton was charged with Possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute(Felony), endangering the welfare of children and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Concepcion was lodged in the Luzerne County Prison for overnight arraignment and will have 10 days answer to his charges before the honorable Magistrate Joseph Zola
