HAZLETON - Following a two month narcotic investigation, the Hazleton Police Department made a drug raid this afternoon.
The Narcotics Unit began an investigation into the sales of illegal narcotics, specifically fentanyl laced heroin.
During this two month investigation, controlled buys were made by the narcotics division and the location was under surveillance.
On August 6, 2016, at approximately 3:30PM, Marcos Bentancourt was arrested after departing his residence where a raid and search warrant were executed by the Hazleton City Police Department Special Operations Group, City Narcotics Detectives and Patrol Division, which uncovered a drug distribution processing operation in the basement of the location..
The following items were found during the search warrant:

(2) Counts of Delivery
(2) Possession with Intent to Deliver
(1) Drug Paraphernalia
