HAZLETON, Pa. - On Monday, November 21st, shortly before 1 o'clock AM, Hazleton Police were dispatched to the 400 block of West Broad Street for a report of a stabbing.
Upon arrival officers located a victim who had a laceration to the hand from a knife.
The victim positively identified the above referenced individual as the person who attacked the victim.
Officers then responded to the 700 block of W 9th Street and located 31-year-old, Yohan Zorilla Tejada, at his residence.
Tejada was taken into custody without incident.
The victim was transported to LHVH for non life threatening injuries.
Tejada was charged with Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Terroristic Threats, Possession of a small amount of Marijuana, Possession of Marihuana and Public Drunkenness.
Tejada was transported to the Luzerne County Jail and lodged for overnight arraignment.
Chief of Police, Jerry Speziale issued the following statement in a press release:
"This behavior is unacceptable and those responsible for such acts will be dealt with swiftly and decisively."
