DRUMS - On May 24th, shortly before 5 o'clock in the afternoon, Butler Township Police were dispatched to 82 Klingers Road in Drums for reports of an overdose, according to a press release.

During the investigation officers surveilled empty heroin packets, a crack pipe, an uncapped syringe (paraphernalia used for ingestion of controlled substances), and pills were located in the residence.
The residence was deemed uninhabitable by police.
Subsequently, the residence was in-fact condemned by the Butler Township Code Enforcement Officer.
It was determined that Brittany Noel Horwath, 23, of Drums, resided in the residence with two juveniles and the deceased male.
She was arrested on Wednesday, June 8th and charged with two Felony counts of Endangering the Welfare Of Children.
Horwath was arraigned before District Magistrate Daniel O’Donnell.
Her bail was set at $10,000 unsecured and she was ordered not to have any contact with the victims or any other minors.
The Preliminary Hearing is scheduled for Monday, June 20th at 10:30 A.M at District Magistrate O’Donnell’s Office.
