HAZLETON, Pa. -- On Tuesday, January 31st, shortly before 8 o'clock in the morning, Police was contracted by the New York City Police Dept. Manhattan warrant sward for assistance with a dangerous fugitive hiding in Hazleton.
The NYPD advised the information was received that fugitive Amir Bland, 20, was staying in the Hazleton area.
Bland was wanted by the NYPD for the crime of attempt to commit the crime of gang assault in the 1st°.
Bland was located by Hazelton police and members of the NYPD in the 1700 block of W. 17th St. and taken into custody without incident.
This is the third incident that the Hazelton Police Department has partnered with the NYPD in removing dangerous criminals from our streets.
