HAZLETON - The Hazleton Police Narcotics Unit were dispatched to 720 North Manhattan Court on May 20 at around 1:00 in the afternoon on a report that narcotics were found in an abandoned apartment, according to a press release.
Upon arrival, detectives spoke to the complainant who stated that he/she found what appeared to be cocaine and packaging materials.
During a further search of the residence, Hazleton Narcotic's Detectives found a a quantity of crack cocaine, a large amount of packaging materials, cutting agents, and cardboard boxes used to store bags of heroin.
Detectives also found three hand guns which were concealed underneath the floor boards in a crawl space. The firearms were determined to be stolen out of McAdoo, Sugarloaf, and Schulykill Haven.
The apartment was rented by Ghazil Faraj who was arrested by Hazleton Police for numerous drug violations back on May 5, 2016 at Rear 805 North James Street in Hazleton.
