MCADOO, Pa. -- In August, 77-year-old, McAdoo-native, Thomas J Danishesfsky was arrested by borough police and charged with sexually assaulting a person with a mental disability.

On Tuesday, September 19th, the criminal suit was transferred to the court of common pleas where it currently awaits an ARD hearing.
Under Pennsylvania law, first-time offenders may qualify for a pre-trial diversion program called Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition, or ARD.
Under the ARD option, first-time offenders can avoid jail time and qualify to have all record of their arrest cleared from their criminal record.
A date for the ARD hearing hasn't been set yet, according to court records.
