DRUMS - On Wednesday at 12:53 pm, Butler Township Police responded to the area of 178 South Hunter Highway in Drums for a two car motor vehicle accident, according to a press release..
Prior to investigation, officials determined that Carol Ann Tate, 62, of Drums was operating a Ford Escape, entering onto South Hunter Highway from the traffic light at Rittenhouse Plaza into the right south bound lane of South Hunter Highway.
Annmarie Pfeil, 52, of Drums was operating a Mercedes, C300, entering onto South Hunter Highway from the traffic light at Providence Place.
Pfeil proceeded into the right south bound lane and was subsequently side swiped by Tate in the front driver’s side bumper.
Both vehicles came to a controlled rest on the west berm of South Hunter Highway.
No injuries were reported.
Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene.
