MCADOO, Pa. - Around 10 o'clock this morning, gun shots rang from outside a home in the McAdoo Heights.
Upon Police arrival, those three shots were learned to be fatal ones.
According to reports, 27-year-old, David Gombert's body was found outside of a home on James Street in the upper Heights section of McAdoo.
It's being said that Gombert arrived at a home-owner's residents with intentions to approach a man he's been feuding with on social media, which is when the home-owner shot at him.
Eric Mumaw, the shooter, is currently in police custody. But as of 12 o'clock this afternoon, he wasn't facing any known charges.
Family and fiends of Gombert say that this tragic event stems from an interaction these two had on Facebook where Gombert was threatened by Mumaw.
On Mumaw's Facebook profile, he posted a status only hours before the shooting, asking his friends for Gombert to be found and brought to him - going as far to even offer an award.
But when Gombert would learn of Mumaw's post, it obviously triggered him to act on it.
Perhaps it can even be argued that Mumaw lured Gombert to his residents, seeing that Mumaw was expectedly waiting for Gombert's arrival with a loaded gun in his hands.
What remains to been seen is how long these two faced off before shots were fired; and also if Gombert ever even entered the home.
The majority of local media outlets are reporting this as a home invasion; but until further information is released by Police with this on-going investigation, the Hazleton Headlines will refrain from titling this incident as such.
